Which cookies we set, what each one does, and how to change your mind. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary runs on this site until you have actively agreed to it.
1. How we handle consent
When you first visit, you are asked to choose. Until you accept, only strictly necessary cookies are set: the analytics script is not loaded at all, rather than loaded and asked to behave. Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting, and there is no pre-ticked box.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Withdrawing analytics consent also deletes the analytics cookies we can reach.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the site and the checkout to function, and are set without consent because the service cannot be provided without them.

3. Analytics cookies — off until you allow them
We use Google Analytics to see which guides get read and which do not. IP addresses are anonymised and we do not use analytics data to identify individuals.

4. Advertising cookies
We do not currently run advertising, and no advertising cookies are set. If we introduce advertising we will update this policy before doing so, add the specific cookies to this page, and require separate consent for them. Advertising will never be switched on under an existing analytics consent.
5. Controlling cookies in your browser
Independently of our banner, you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the checkout, and possibly the language switcher.
